OK, i thought to myself im not gonna be lazy and hang about for a new version of sceneaid as it was'nt importing my subs without error. So i thought well i've gotta learn to compile a dvd from scratch with scenarist sometime, so i decided to give it a bash.So im recompiling Identity(seamless). All videos and audio steams are import, tracks creaked with video+audio and cell/scene times created.Only thing left to do is import the subs.
Now i know i have to go track editor > track i want > import subtitles.Load the sst files into each one.Now some have forced subs, so theres two sst files. Now ive done a search and i've read i have to import the non forced sst and the forced one after. Then looking at the forced one i have to set the nonforced stream sections to forced, then delete the forced track. Now i can do this, but is there a quicker way in doing this other wise this is gonna take me ages..... does the script RA gives do it a different way or what.

simple answer .... no.
detailed response:
you could import your subs. export a scenarist script file and compare that to a ReAuthorist script file, analyse what part of the script is used to flag a bitmap as a forced sub, amend your script file to suit for every substream, save the script file and import....but i doubt it will be quicker.....

OK, thanks looks like its gonna be a long night. Then agian, maybe not, i'll just do it a bit at a time :) .
So the non forced part that needs to be forced will be directly above the forced one from the forced track. So after deleting the forced track, should i delete it from the data editor aswell ??
Also would it be a good idea to import all subs up untill i get to a forced one, then after ive done what i need to do then import teh rest of the subs for that track ??
Oh last thing, i need to have both the W and L button ticked on the sub streams right?

shouldnt take that long once you get on a roll...there are 24 substreams on this title arent there?....should take about an hour or so
So the non forced part that needs to be forced will be directly above the forced one from the forced track. yes,. thats right. you can also use the '+' button in the track editor to zoom in on any small subs that might by close together...but i dont remember there being any on this title.
Also would it be a good idea to import all subs up untill i get to a forced one, then after ive done what i need to do then import teh rest of the subs for that track ?? sounds like a good plan ;)
Oh last thing, i need to have both the W and L button ticked on the sub streams right? to be perfectly honest i really dont know...as a safe route i always have them both selected but i cant see any reason why you couldnt specify whether it was 'w' or 'l' only, as long as you corresponded to what the original ids are.

OK, thanks for your help.
One last thing though, what are VTS_02_VSUB_P1A1-00 subs for is the ones used are VTS_02_VSUB_V001-16 etc.... Seems pointless they was ripped.
