adding 11 s worth of frames

i have this issue with pirates of the caribbean and have tried the dg version and 1.77.3 by lol. anybody have any ideas? this has happened with any other movie and i have done 20 at this stage. is there any other program like this that i can use with gknot?

i am just tring the version by nic. it says it is 20fps and pal and interlaced. it certainly is not interlaced, but how could it be 20fps?

First, your original post: what is your problem? Do you get 11s too much or what?

Second, if DVD2AVI say's 20fps then you have almost certainly FORCE FILM activated. Deactivate it: Never ever FF PAL stuff.

Third PAL movies are often encoded as interlaced even though it is progressive. Nothing to worry about, just don't deinterlace already progressive movies.

the problem was that it was adding 11 seconds of black frames at the start of the film. this caused problems when i muxed the ac3 with a delay of 0 ms. I reripped the movie last night in ifo mode instead of iso mode and mounting it with alchol 120%. when i created a .d2v file, the length was now right, so i have fixed the problem. why is it that iso mode caused the problem in the first place?

It's quite simple: vobs contain much more than the actual movie, and in your case you happened to have a black piece at the start. If you check the guides you'll find that all of them requires you to use a IFO parsing ripper in order to get past these problems.

vStrip can create a .d2v file while ripping the vobs.
