Hi there!

Just a little thing. As we know avi files cannot be larger than 2GB. This might be a problem if you are backing up a movie like LOTR. The only possiblility then - beside lowering the bitrate of course - is to split the thing into two files.

My questions are
1.) Is it usually possible to create a play list on these players so that they start the second part automatically? Well, I assume the answer is yes, but anyway.

2.) How long would the pause between the two parts be. Or better how long is the pause on your players?

3.) Is it possible to use the "Save segmented AVI" feature in Vdub?

Cheers, kilg0r3

Not with the ones i know, im also searching for such a feature.

But usually all players play one file after another if you start the first one, additionally some have playlists.

With my Yamada 6111/elta 8883 the pause is around 3-4 seconds between the files, and segmented avis work.
