Well, this might be some misunderstanding, but I will post this up:

It isn't clear, was the xvid 232% faster, or was there an error. Maybe someone would soon have prescott, and report here. But if that is true -- damn, I need it. :)
Of course, You will need to look the divx 5.1.1 speed graph and note that the prescottt is slower than NW.
But if there is some secret "conspiracy theory" between Xvid developers and intel, then maybe the Xvid uses SSE3 and benefits from longer pipeine thus being ultrafast ;) ;)
But to be real, maybe they did the test somehow wrong, or there is something wrong with the compability between xvid and prescott.. ?
