Preview.avs not previewing!!

Recently wmplayer2 hasnt been previewing my video projects in the "save and encode" box. I hit "preview" wmplayer pops up, but remains idle and if i click around on it, it gives me a generic windows XP error and closes. If i open wmplayer2 up and try to open any media file it does the same thing...doesnt work at all. I have the wmplayerc which *does* work however i am unable to use it to preview my video projects in GKnot. Everytime i replace the wmplayer2 exe in the Windows Media Player folder with the wmplayrc (renamed) exe it simply reverts back to the old one. I dont know what is up. Where can i edit whatever initiates the "preview" to use the wmplayerc instead of the wmplayer2? Thanks.

There seems to be a odd problem there, that happends with some cropping. If you want to see if it really will preview, try using the SVCD Setting or the VCD and see if it will preview. I've had this problem a few times, and it doesn't want to preview from time to time, if you really want to just bypass it, just load it up in vdubmod, it should load fine. It could just be some reg settings. but these 2 bypass's seem to work fine. Or instead of encoding all of it, create a small 2min d2v file, and encode that, you can get a good idea of what your wanting if you do it like that. takes less time too.
