Hi there -

www.doom9.org and opera do not cooperate very well ... opening any of the (internal) links on the site in a new window does not show the requested page, but merely the homepage. This is a bit annoying :-)
I'm using Opera 7.01 with both cookies and html referrer logging enabled.

--- edit

oops, i should have posted this to the forum/site board. sorry for this.

I could be wrong, but this is my experience with most forums -
Generally this type of site checks the refering page to ensure that the request has come from some one browsing the site, and not from someone leeching with deep links. When you right click a link with Opera and select open in new window or open in background, Opera does not provide the referred from page, so the site dumps you to the main menu, thinking you are leeching. Annoying I know, Internet explorer users have no idea how reliant us Opera users get on these features! The only saving grace is that mostly the links on these sites are set to open in a new page, so whilst you do have the annoyance of having to click back on the page you started from, at least it is still there!
