Hi,

I am new to DVD technology. There are two questions that I am interested in. I went through the documentation and did not find the clear answers. In my opinion these answers should be put into FAQ.

1. The great author of AutoGK suggest to grab DVD to harddisk by DVD Decryptor and than point that place as input directory to AutoGK. But when I select input directory as VIDEO_TS on DVD disk I get the same results. So what is grabbing of DVD Decryptor for? Is it only a matter of performance (faster access to harddisk etc.)

2. I have two versions of the same DVD film: the first one is 1 CD size, and the second is 2 CD size. I realize the first film has a worse quality. But what about required resources? Is processor more loaded during playing the first version of film (because of "video" density etc.) or it does not matter?

Best regards,
Wojciech Pietron

First question will be put in FAQ when I'm done with it :)

DVDDecrypter actually decrypts source VOB files, meaning they are not the same as on DVD (you cannot do a pure copy). So despite the fact that AutoGK recognises the input folder structure (by parsing IFO file) this doesn't mean it can work from DVD itself (unless it's a non-encrypted DVD which for instance you made yourself).

Second, CPU load is dependent mainly on bitrate of video, so 2CD version will require more resources than 1CD one.
