Need help converting DVD to AVI 2: The Mission

I have all movies @ my house. I bought'em after watching, so, it seems to me that it's like mp3's files, I download, then buy the CD.
I have "Ice Age", "Amélie Poulain", "Requiem for a Dream", "Chicago" and "Spirited Away". The reasons I want to convert these movies to AVI is up to me.
So, could it be possible to reopen my thread, please? I still have a doubt about this subject.
