Hi there, i have reocrded i a live capture using my happauge pvr 250, i want to now convert the mpeg2 (dvd) movie to divx.
Di i need to encode the MPeg2 file as progrssive or interlaced ??

Typically, MPEG-4 codecs are used with PCs for playback, and therefore require progressive frames.
If you plan to use DVD2AVI and AviSynth frameserving to go from MPEG-2 to DivX (such as with the Gordian Knot encoding suite), you may find this tutorial (http://www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm) helpful.
