I am very relieved to be able to report that I have found what caused the RC1 (Niltze) real time, single pass capture error I reported earlier (se below). After lots of testing I have found that if I disabling the Debug (or status?) window the capturing applications does not hang when I stop capturing any more (Advanced Options | Debug | Display encoding status=off) :):):).
This means that I cannot enjoy the new nice window except while doing 2-pass encoding, which I do not normally do.

Unfortunately RC1 yield a hanging recording app when I press stop recording, where as Beta3 and all previous did not. Windows Task Manager says No Response in 3 app I have tried (Leadtek expert WinPVR, iuVCR and VisualVCR). VitualDub (1.5.4.1 and 1.5.10) does not
