Gordian Knot as 'DivX Certified Program' ?

when i got into the divx page, i noticed that there is a logo 'divx certified program'. i wonder - can freeware and GPL programs get it? why don't we participate for this logo?

gknot is using the divx5 codec, so how can someone be not closer to divx5 than that ;)
it makes no sense having programs using the divx5 codec "divx certified"

what would make sense would be to "mpeg-4 compliant certify" various codecs, i wonder if divx5 would pass that :D
