After some tests I found that some combinations of capturing program/format and demux program work and others don't.

I'm using a SkyStar2 DVB-S card, rev. 2.3, with drivers 4.22. All above programs were at their latest version (found here at Doom9).
I tested several FTA channels from HotBird, but only with short clips. An extended test to verify A/V sync after 2 hours of recording should be done....
