Hi,

Anybody know of a Linux tool that works like DVDPatcher?

Could be the best way to make DVD backups under FFMPEG, at least until a new CVS build that respects maximum bitrate :)

Best regards,

Have a look at step 4 here:

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/svcddvdr.htm

it's a tool to change the MPEG-2 header to fool the authoring tools about the bitrate, resolution, etc.

From what I've heard it seems that it even can fool standalone players if needed.

Not an option to consider, at least for me.
I'm looking for command-line tools dor use with Linux or FreeBSD.
