Hi. Im backing up my dvds and using dvd2avi to demux the sound. Then using headache to encode into vorbis. I notice that after compression there is a kind of a hiss like playing back an old cassette tape. I went back and listend to the ac3 with mpc and theres no hiss there. The audio is otherwise good but I'd like to not have this hiss if I could. Any tips?
I have headache set for a 2 channel dolby2 downmix, vorbis quality 2. My soundcard is the onboard sound with my abit at7 mb. I think its ac97, whatever that means..
Btw I also notice the same thing compressing to mp3 with lame. Is it my hardware?
Also I tried to use besweet but I cant get it to run with either gui. It just wont open up. (and I'm not gonna do command line!)
