Xvid 1.0 RC1 probably bug...

ATI RADEON 7500 with catalyst driver using TV OUT ONLY

Using as a Decoder.... ON "TV OUT ONLY" ALL movies SPURT....

ALL

tried many movies

installed coded.. seen movie... it all SPURT

disinstalled, installed release before movie DON'T spurt

reinstalled new one.. movie SPURTS

... tried it several times, tried many xvid coded.... all movies, watched through TV OUT ONLY it ALL "SPURT" with RC1....

NO PROBLEMS showing on PC

By "spurt" what exactly do you mean? Do you mean playback is jerky and it jumps around or what? Because if this is what you mean, this is already a known problem with the decoder, posted in other threads.

Also, this only happens when using tv-out?

Something is messy with your system (broken VGA or TV encoder chip on your ati),... can be anything like that. At least you're the only one until now experiencing that, and thus it's unlikely to be an xvid error.

Next to that, you use PLENTY OF CAPITAL LETTERS IN YOUR TOPIC, blaming xvid of being buggy, which is against our forum rules.

I'm sorry for capital letters, it was not done for blaming (absolutely not for that) but just to have an immediate view of the problem. I don't use in the future anymore.

for spurt yes I mean jerky.

I looked for other post speaking about that problem..... I'm sorry for second time but I did not find it.

thank's for explanation. Well I can tell you what's happens only with new RC1 and using TV Out only. Doing an argument I can only deduct that it's a decoding problem and not video card problem becuase:

with every Xvid codec previous version = no jerky
with 1.0 RC1 = all xvid movie jerky (with or without ffdshow) and only wth this xvid codec version.

well now I'm not thinking for an absolute RC1 bug but You can understund that it's an unusual problem.

I tried to reinstall drivers too.

using all previous versione of Xvid codec (until 1.0 beta 3) I don't have jerky problems decoding from TV out. (including alco nic codec versions).

Only using this new one as a decoder I suffered this problem. As for Encoder non problem.

Dude, what celtec_druid meant was that there are versions of the decoder that are NEWER than the decoder provided with RC1.
