I just changed my DVD drive and now DVD2SVCD does not work. When I click on CD icon under conversion tab, DVD2SVCD freezes while authenticating the disk. I have tried several times and same issue. Does anyone know whats wrong or what do I need to do to make it work.

By the way DVD drive is good, it works with other softwares like eazyvcd.

Thanks in advance.

Try reinstalling the aspi drivers available from the dvd2dvd.org homepage.

If that doesn't work, authenticate by playing the disc in Win/Power DVD for a few seconds before launching DVD2SVCD.

I have reinstalled aspi drivers and reinstalled DVD2SVCD but it stii hangs up while displaying message "analyzing video". Any more ideas on why its doing that.

I have tried several DVD's and same thing. DVD's and DVD drive works fine with other softwares.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Did you try Nick's before asking the very same question again?

Yes I tried Nick's suggestions before asking the same question. I think if you read my reply then you should know that I tried reinstalling ASPI drivers and then tried reinstalling DVD2SVCD and then tried it with several DVD's. Same problem exits.

Well, sorry if I bothered you but your post did not say whether you tried authenticating the DVD with PowerDVD or WinDVD a few seconds before pressing "Rip", so I preferred to ask to be sure. (Sometimes doing this fixes the problem.)

I must presume you did and it still does not work?

If you did, then the problem is probably not related to DVD2SVCD itself, but to the ASPI drivers not being properly started.

The fact that other softwares can read the DVD may mean they are using some other form of access to the media.

Please tell us which version of DVD2SVCD and Aspi drivers you are using, as well as the OS version.
