Thanks for the reply
I have tried it but it wont work
Wel about the project it is not a project its just dvd2svcd with scenarist, i load my avi file along with my subtitles and dvd2svcd starts encoding it with TMGenc and it does all the other things, and at the end scenarist starts after a while i get that error message.

I've had that message too. Saying I've exceeded the number of programs.

All I can suggest is use TMPG Author to finish off the job, it worked for me. Just load up the mpv and mp2 files.

Thanks m8 for the reply

I have tried everything also the dvd author it works i know but the selectable subtitles wont show on my dvd player.
I have to choose the permanentsubtitle and the scenarist wil do the job very well but if i put two selectable subs in it it refuses and gives me that error of exceeding the max number of programs.
But i wont give up there has to be a solution for it.

hmmm I think, I have found something.

The problem can be: in scenarist guide it is written, that each chapter contains a PROGRAM and a cell. D2S default setting is to create a chapter of each 60 seconds. So we have so much chapters and programs as many minutes of our movie. Mine is 2:17 and I have 137 programs. I guess your movie is 2:01 hours long, thats why You ave 121 programs. Maybe editing the project will help. I have searched a lot, and found, that 60 sec chapters are tipical on SVCD, but not on DVD. I will try to merge some chapters, using this (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/scenarist-tricks.htm) guide.

I hope this helps.

If that is the case (D2S defaulting a chapter every 60 seconds) then this needs to be adressed in the next version.

Surely a default of 5 mins would be more appropriate?

Hi!

Recreating the chapters solved the problem.
Just do the folowing:
1. open scenarist, and open the project (movie0)
2. go to the track editor
3. You can see your video, audio, subtitle tracks, and under them a 'scenes' track. reduce the noumber of the scenes, by clicking into the line (a part of it will be selected, and marked blue) and pressing DEL. Continue this to reduce the noumber of scenes to max 90.
4. Check the result in the scenario editor, where, you must have less chapters.
5. To avoid the problem, in DVD2SVCD go to the CDimage tab, and set the chapters length to longer eg.360 sec. (default is 60, using this to many chapters will be created)

Hi all,

Where a good search isn't good for.
I have the same thing here, and yes my error was this one:

Error The number of program<122> exceeds the max number<99>, PGC<Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL-t-p>

Error C_PgcInfoTab::UploadFromDB TT_DOM failed
Error UploadFromDB failed. st<-1>
Error VTS Upload failed
Error DVD files could not be created

I checked the tab cd_image in dvd2svcd and :o I forget to set the setting to DVD chapters in stead off fixed chapters :o :o

I will try again and now with good settings. Tnx for the solution.
