edit chapters in an ifo ?

is there a way to edit the chapters in a .ifo-file?
i mean without complete re-authoring or working on the vobs

Heres what I'd do :
1. Watch with MplayerClasic or Marks DVD TrayPlayer and write down the exact frame numbers to change.
2. Export Celltimes.txt with ifoedit and modify that with the numbers.
3. Demux with Vobedit
4. Author with IfoEdit using new Celltimes.txt

well, i don't kno which of them is teh real cause, but after doing them the subs are no longer right
my material is joined episodes of futurama and afetr doing this 2 steps all subs are in episode 1
