Dvd Decrypter Ripping help (not the same as others)

Okay i start off ripping at 1.5 times then about one or two files in it goes to about 2.8 low 3's

at most itll go to is about 4

i have a 16 or 24 times READ dvdwriter

tdk indi 4x r+-/rw+-

ive read about the DMA, i have windows xp pro

it says USE DMA IF AVLIABLE i am wondering if it isnt using DMA at all

i mean i hear people with speeds from 8-12 times ripping and i pull 2-4's and thats it...takes like 30-35 mins PER disc

i dont think this is right?!?!

If you can get over 2x, DMA is probably already enabled.

After that point, its just down to your drive. You need to find one that reads quickly. DVD-R / -RW will always read slower than a pressed DVDROM. Dual layer reads slower than single layer etc etc.
