I need to convert a DVD-directory to ISO for loading it into Daemon Tools virtual romdrive. This way I can load the DVD in a transcoder as if it were a disc.

I burned the the directory with Nero 6 to the image recorder in DVD-video format, no altered settings. The results was two files, one .ISO and one .ISO001

Though, when load the image into Daemon Tools, i doesnt seem to play with powerDVD.

Anyone familiar with this...?

I used imgTool Classic to do the job several times, but having the same problem...the directory does play with PowerDVD but when the final created ISO is loaded into Daemon Tools, it wont play. Allthough I can read and open the virtual drive and files...

Really nice...they did again, its magic and you cant figure it out.
Its black magic and they just wont let me burn my DVD. Yes, im getting paranoid of all those d*mn bugs everytime. Why cant one just burn one single film without interuption. ..grrrrr

Just checking. You did have the files under a VIDEO_TS subdirectory you included in your iso?

yes, in Nero the template doesnt allow anything else and in imgTool, I selected the mainfolder wich had subdires in it like VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS

It's really strange, actually I should test another directory, see if happens the same. If not, it might be something with the ripped files, allthough Shrink can load them and I just decrypt them to harddisk.

I still don't know what exactly went wrong but I burned the directory to an .nrg image using the latest 6.30.02 Nero and it's ok.

ready to load into dvd-stripper to split the movie in film and extras and run through instant copy transcoder.... Up to the next error! ;)

Hi,

Is there any other software that will do this besides Img Tool?

Daemon's Guide on it's website recommends some programs I've never seen written about on any of the DVD forums I've read.

Yeah, I thought so... but I've been working with so many programs lately and trying to figure out how they work, and I've gotten about 7 bad backups in the last few days and I've been reading guides and doing things over and over and it's hard to remember everything and not get confused.

It may be time to start taking notes - and that way you'll avoid posting very similar questions in the different sub-forums here ;>}

ImgBurn is the answer. Don't use Nero! This has been repeated many time here and in other forums.

@TomBrooklyn,

Many posters, including me, are noticing that you are posting questions over and over and over again that have been answered many times before.

I urge you to read and observe rules 1 and 1a (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) please.

Questions which show a poster has not tried to find the answer risk a strike.
