All of a sudden virtualdubmod would not start.I found that if i uninstalled avisynth it would start so i kept it open while i re-installed avisynth and it stayed open but when i try to open an avs script it gives the error:-

"Avisynth open failure:
Avisynth:script open failed"

Even though virtualdub opens fine with avisynth installed it throughs up the same error so i presume that i have a problem with avisynth here.It seems i cannot open any avisynth scripts at all now.
when opening a script in a DirectShow player i get an "out of memory"error.

I have tried this with all versions of avisynth going back to 2.52 with the same error and i made absolutly sure the script was correct.

The last time i used vdubmod with an avisynth script was about 10mins before hand with an avi i had just captured and it open fine.It was an mjpeg avi.I have never had this problem before, can anyone help with this please.

Empty your plugin directory. You probably have a ".avsi" file inthere, that isn't working.

AH yes, that was it.I deleted the plugin directory(backed it up first)before i deleted the Avisynth_c.dll(i hope it was not important for anything).I had put an avsi file in there not long ago.The new BitrateCalc.avsi posted here not long ago.I was really hoping to try it out too.

Thanks for your help sh0dan.
