Making Compilation of clips - some have no sound, why?

hi guys

i want to make a dvd with clips from various films,

im using DVD Shrink re author mode (start and end) to get the clips i want from dvd films then saving them to hard drive. Shrink creates audio_ts ands video_ts folders for each clip ive cut.

now im using TMPGEnc DVD Author to add all these video files to author, now when i play each clip through power dvd there is sound.

but when i add the video files to TMPGEnc DVD author, some of the clips havent gfot sound attacthed to them and some have.

can anyone explain to me why? i cant seem to figure it out!

am i doing anything wrong? or is there another way to achieve what i want to do?

Maybe not all clips have their soundtrack at 1st position and DVDAuthor messes up.

Open them with ifoedit and check their audio positions as well as their type (ac3, mpa etc.)

Edit: Just thought of it. do u have the ac3 plugin for DVDAuthor. If not that maybe the case.

yep i have the ac3 plugin installed, 4 clips from movies have the 5.1 DD trach included, and some havent, not sure why though,

i'l check the postitions of the audio using ifoedit, when i do, what can be done?

right, now im getting GOP is too large, ive got to make the GOP 18 frames some how?

i choose ignore in dvd author, the end result is a clip that is jerky.

ive put it through TMPGEnc Plus and changed the GOP to 18, the end result is a better clip, but now going in slow motion :(

what else can i try guys?

i have the .vob file of the clip, where do i go from here?
