*avi to DVD

Hey! I wanna burn my avi movie into a dvd using my dvd recorder and Easy CD & DVD creator 6.0, but when I'm trying to import files with avi extensions, I'm just getting an error message of some kind..

Can anyone help me out with this problem please ?

Video files must first be encoded in mpeg2 format and then authored into dvd compliant ifo, vob files befor they can be burned to a dvd. Check out the doom9 guides for a detailed explaination and step by step instructions.
