 Hello and forgive me if I have posted without really searching first...
I am not sure what I'd even be looking for since I am a DVD burner newbie.
I recently converted a VHS to dvd and the dvd plays perfectly on the PC WITH audio. However, once I put this dvd-R disc into my standalone SONY dvd player, it has video, but NO audio..
Could someone PLEASE :scared: help me? Thanks! :)

Maybe your audio is not ac3 or mp2 so your standalone player can't read it but your pc can...
By the way, Read rule 1 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm).

it says it's LPCM 2-channel unspecified?

So it's a .wav file (stereo PCM). You have to convert your audio to mp2 either with BeSweet or TMPGEnc.

A standalone dvd player should be able to play a lpcm audio file. The standart in the U.S. is ac3 or pcm. In Europe mp2 is included. What did you convert/ capture the audio with?

It's more likely (since LPCM is supported by all players) that the audio track is not selected. What was used to author (logically compile, not burn) the DVD?

Hello...I am at a loss to find even what I'd be looking for re: the link above.
I have a VHS that I converted over to DVD via an ADS Tech - Instant DVD 2.0. The audio does NOT work on the stand alone dvd player, but only on the PC.
the audio is ??? MPEG1 2ch (0xC0) . What do I need to do to convert this audio so that when I burn the video "with" this audio it will also be present on a burned DVD which the audio will play on the/a stand alone DVD player.
Thank you for your extreme patience with me on this matter. I hope I get no "strikes" against myself due to my ignorance.
