Hello,
I spotted a error in one of my movies subs.
Can I extract is out of the mkv, fix it and then put it back?
Thanks

Try VirtualDubMod. Simply select the subs under streams and demux them. Guess mkvextract would work to?

mkvextract should be your first choice here, sorry its only available from CLI right now. Only vobsubs may be problematic, last i talked to Mosu about that they werent supported ...

I have tried to open my mkv with rv9/attrc/srt in virtualdubmod and it comes up with an error message: -
BIRTUAL BLOCK NOT HANDLED.
I dont know what that means and i'll have a look at mkvextract.
From what i read it only deals with tags, chapters and attachments.
Thanks

To extract the subtitles file using the mkvextract:
$mkvextract tracks <filename> TrackID:outputName
To know the TrackID of the subtitles you should do:
$mkvmerge -i movie.mkv
Example:
$mkvextract tracks movie.mkv 3:subtitles.srt
