Hello,

I am sure the asnwer is somewhere already but I cannot find it, sorry if I ask again the same questions....

I want to do a track with 2 audio format: 1 DTS and 1 AC3
Video is: VBR 2000, 6500, 9000
Audio DTS is: 768
Audio AC3 is: 448

When I start the compilation scenarist says: Too high bitrate for this track. If I remove one of the 2 audio it works (with the DTS only or the AC3 only it works).
I don't understand why I get that message when I have the 2 audios.

Do you have any clue?

Thanks.

Hi, maybe Im wrong but I believe that your final bitrate is too high.
9000 + 768 + 448 = 10216
DVD can only go as high as 10000

Yes yes DVD is 10.08Mb/s BUT the DVD player never plays both audio at the same time, for me it's :
9+0.768 OR 9+.448 < 10.08...

That's my point.
Thanks for your help.
Steph.

That's not the point, the point is that all audio streams are muxed together with the video. And although the player "throws away" packets that are not from the currently selected audio stream, they are still there and consume bitrate. Your max. bitrate is way too high. Reduce that to 9800 - (all audio bitrates) - (mux overhead, about 2 kbps per audio stream).

Thanks a lot.
I did not think that it could be that way.
I will have to go back again in a 15 to 20 hours video MPEG2 encoding....
Thanks!
