Title Set (Movie) attributes:
..Video: MPEG-2 720x480.(NTSC).(NTSC 525/60).(16:9).(letterboxed)
..Audio 1:......Japanese.........(Dolby AC-3) 6ch 48Kbps DRC normal (ID: 0x80)
..SubPicture 1: Chinese.........(2-bit rle ).(ID: 0x20)
..SubPicture 2: Japanese.......(2-bit rle ).(ID: 0x21)
..SubPicture 3: English..........(2-bit rle ).(ID: 0x22,0x20)

As you can see the English subtitles are sharing the same ID as the Chinese.

I have NO idea how to fix this. On my standalone player it plays Chinese for the English track but in PowerDVD it plays the English track. Would anyone have any insight as to what value to edit to correct this?

Which ID gets used is specified in the PGCs.

You must go through the PGCs though.

In the VTS_PGC_1? I read some guides in this section about subtitles, but it didn't change the ID number. I stripped out the other 2 subs, but the IDs stayed the same also.

It'd be nice if the IDs can be edited, but I'm sure they depend on alot of other values.

For anyone who will be searching and has this same problem, the fix was easy.

Of course easy once you see it, I had no idea about IFOs before this.

Since the English subtitle was the 3rd, all you have to do is copy this number over into your IFO and the ID changes. The original IFO had a number of:

Old
Sub-picture stream 3 status.......................-2147352576

and the correct one is:

New
Sub-picture stream 3 status.......................-2147352064

Thanks to Derrow for the helpful hint and 2COOL for all those guides.
