Hi,
I just found something out tonight.
When I join to avi's containing ac3 audio streams I get the following
AVI 1
=====
Video time = 1:10.100
Audio time = 1:10.080
AVI 2
=====
Video time = 1:10.600
Audio time = 1:10.580
The resultant from vdubmod is: -
Video time = 2:20.700
Audio time = 2:20.660
Now whilst 40ms might not see that much, I had 12 avi's to append together and the overall error became 300ms.
In the end I had to append silence using besweet to the short audio streams to make it right.
The only thing with that was I had to convert each ac3 stream to wav which was very time consuming.
Is there not a way in vdudmod where any shortfall in audio stream length is filled with silence... so that any appended streams have both the video and audio started from there respective datum (i.e. 0 secs.)
To over exagerate the matter its like this: -
video.1 start............stop video.2 start.......stop
audio.1 start...........stop audio.2 start......stop
So any shortfall accumulates :(
Just wanted to know... might be able to save me some work :)
Thanks
