Just got around to playing with 3.14..Looks good. I have a question though. I decided to try a movie only backup of The Matrix. DVDShrink, as well as Recode and others, say there are 4 main movies. I know that there is only one. I just chose the first one and all was ok. Question is, why do 4 show up? I have never seen this before on any DVD. DVD Decryptor says there are 4 main movies as well. Just curious as to what this DVD structure is.

How would you choose the right one of 2 or more are presented to you?

I'm curious.

Drag them all into re-author, then go back to the compression settings tab and examine the available audio and subpicture streams for each. Choose the title with the combination you like (i.e. delete the others). The video in each is probably identical, or there will only be small differences.

Note: you can right-click on the video preview to select the preview audio stream.

My version of Matrix has only two main movies. One of them has an extra subpicture stream, containing a white rabbit which pops up occasionally and invites you to watch the "making of The Matrix" clips.

Isn't this simply because there are multiple angles in the movie? Because I had the same "problem" on a few other movies, and in those instances, multiple angle was to blame.

Multiple angels or seamless branching.

I know Matrix has the White Rabbit mode that loops you out to 'making of' clips then loops you back into the main movie at the place you left it. I think that's an application of seamless branching.

He mentioned there were four titles - I don't know that seamless branching is responsible for them all, but I believe White Rabbit is the reason for one of the additional titles.
