cannot get this onto hardrive film only or full movie any ideas.
first i/o erroron 81%. interpretation:log block address out of range.
then failed to patch file.reason invalid ifo/bup
then if i ignor and carry on gets to 99%and stopsthere.

You get LBA out of range at 81% and THEN it carries on ok until 99%?!

That's madness! Are you reading from a copied disc? sounds like you are.

no the disc was from areputable hire shop.it would not go past 81% when aked would i like to ignore read errors isaid yes then it continued to 99% and stopped.i have on my harddrive the the whole thing 4.57 gig then after using dvd2one 4.19 gig and movie only at 4.25gig whenn i try to burn with record nowmax the latter two just terminate with errors.

i get the same readings as hammer.my copy is from a shop i bought.
please help.
also a friend made a back-up using dvd-x-copy,so why not decrypter
or shrink?
one more thing.an another person said make an iso using decrypter.then mount the iso using alcohol 120%.
i have'nt tried this, what's your thoughts?

The same thing happened to me with this title. I managed to get the movie only by loading the movie only vobs into ifoedit and recreating the ifo files.

This disk had either been created with a faulty pressing disk or maybe there is some new form of protection. The problem vob is part of the extras and yet the original whole disk played ok right through.

For further information I also used Smartripper and DVDshrink. Smartripper copied all but the faulty vob and DVDshrink errored out (though I do believe the latest beta will carry on and catch what it can).

It may be a good idea if you obtained a copy of this region 2 disk yourself to prove it one way or the other.
