ripping ID4(independence day)

I had good luck using dvd decrypter/dvd2one/copy2dvd to make backup copies of my movies. The problem with ID4 is that I can't seam to rip via the vob id. Any ideas on how to do this. I looked in all the forums, nothing helps.

Come on guys, surely someone has backed up this dvd before, or others like it. The thing about this dvd is that it has 2 versions on it, but not 2 different vob sets. When playing the dvd in directors cut version, it will choose the appropriate vob id for the extended/added scenes, not by chapter. If I backup all the chapters, it will repeat scenes. How do I get around this to backup just the directors cut version?

Yes, someone has managed to backup this title. A forum search on Independence Day (http://forum.doom9.org/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=85390&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) returns 47 hits, some of which may be useful to you.

The only other advice I can offer is to quote an old saying, "You'll catch more flies with honey, than you will with vinegar." :)
