I just noticed that TMPG's DVD Write Tool (included with DVD Author) was written by Sonic Solutions. Has anyone experimented burning with it, or making isos? Gonna give it a try, just wondering what others experiences have been.

Graphs from DVDInfo show similar results to a DVDDecrypter burn. No problems with playback on any of the three standalones I tested it on. But...

When creating the iso, the progress meter stopped at 20% then quickly jumped to 100% when finished. Same behavior when burning (which had me nervous). Alos, I was unable to select my burn speed which I thought was odd, the drop down was greyed out and "MAX" was selected.

Uses the PX engine to burn. It keeps a helper file loaded at all times ezSP_PX.

I use it all the time now. DVD Decrpyter has numerous problems with my Panasonic burners, TMPG's writing tool doesn't.

I've never had a problem with TMPG's writing tool, either, I have noticed the inability to choose the write speed, but since I'd rather burn at MAX speed anyway, that's not an issue for me.

I have a really picky dvd player. If things are not just right it will not work on this player. I never get a burn from tmpg writer that works on this picky machine. The burns do work in my other 3 players.
