Bug with the latest bugfix build (version 1.5.10.1) as of
today, submitted to the SF Tracker:

I downloaded the newest version after hearing about the
Ctrl-T feature in the script editor. Unfortunately, not
only is this feature broken, but VDubMod is not saving
the edits at all! (Thus I can't even use bb's vcf->avs).
I'll post to Doom9 to ensure it's not just me.

My solution for today is to render out the entire edited video to HuffYUV, but that's kind of annoying.

Anyone else have this problem?

What OS are you using Richard? I have a suspicion.

why not use the cutting facility of AVSEdit, it's easy to use after learning the keys and it works bidirectional, from editor to script and from script to editor, today I uploaded a greatly improved build

Does AVSEdit let me export the trimmed audio?

It's a plain script editor. Why don't you cut with VDM, DVX cuts with VDM, works great

I tried DVX. Installed the full package, DotNet etc. etc. Basically, if I try to load a file, it takes forever demux the audio in the background (to the same disk, stupid), then crashes. Maybe I'll try again some other time.

Meanwhile, @Belgabor -- any idea what could be causing my problem? I tried using the VDubMod installation provided with DVX and it has the same issue.

DVX has the limitation that the the source dir is the working dir, this limitation is only for avi files, for mpeg2 files it will change the working dir to the demux target dir. You can always demux manually and after that load the files in DVX. I believe the the alpha version available in the updater system has less flaws although porting the features of AVSEdit back to DVX and replacing DirectShow with the avifile api did change DVX a lot but it's out for a few days and no big issues where reported except one that is fixed already.

Note: in DVX cutting is done always with VDM so AVSEdit would be more interesting for you than DVX

I was hoping DVX could help my workflow in general, going from uncut Huffyuv -> filtered OGM.

I can try to demux the audio in a different directory, please let me know about other problems

The demuxing isn't a big deal, it just takes forever (~12min, vs. 1.5min when I do it manually). I think the crash is related to the general problems I've started having with VDubMod (see other thread).
