View Full Version : IfoEdit creates "unreferenced" movie per DVD Shrink 3.1

Why is it that after using the "Create IFOs" option in IfoEdit v0.94 (on sequentially numbered VOBs) do I end up with the following DVD structure when the resultant files are loaded into DVD Shrink 3.1
-DVD
---Unreferenced Material
-----VTS 1

"Get VTS sectors" is always used upon finalizing.

The above structured DVD plays fine in both IfoEdit and WinDVD. If this is a problem I suspect this may be the cause of some finalized DVD not being compatible with all my players. My Cyberhome 500 plays any and everything while the APEX 600 & 1200s oftentimes balk.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

@golem

Why are you using v0.94? It's not even available at www.ifoedit.com and, in fact, it's not even listed as a stable version. Anyways, try out 0.95 or .096. Personally, I still use 0.95.

BTW, when you had opted to "Create New IFOs", what settings do you choose?

Thanks for replying.

I have both of the top radio buttons of the dialog box ticked (Create One PGC Only/Create Chapter for each Cell) when "Creating New IFO Files".

And yeah, I know, I've been laxed in updating it...there has been such an abundance of quality DVD related apps released of late that I rarely use IfoEdit anymore for any processes. Will definitely complete the upgrade now though!

Btw, I just burned the movie to DVD-R with the structure in which DVD Shrink stated and it worked just as I noted - Ok on the PC and Cyberhome 500 and no-go on the APEX's.
