Hi,

I am having tons of problem. First of all, when I download an avi that is in 2 parts already with an ac3 audio; how can I put the 2 parts together so I can cut them to size and extract the audio seperate? If I leave them the size they are and extract, when I try to convert them in TMPGEnc it is always to big or I will need to use 4 cd´s for the 2 parts.
The second thing is with these avi´s with ac3 audio. I use virtual dub and then I save the audio as .wav. Now when I open headac3e and try to load the ac3 in, I get an error message that says Unknown AC3 Stream Version and the program crashes.
What can I do about this?

These are just a few to start out with, I dont want to get carried away.

Please Help
Thanks in Advance

1st problem : open the 1st AVI in VirtualDub, and then choose File/Append AVI Segment and open the second one.

2d problem : when you save the audio as .wav the audio is no more an ac3 file. You have to use another prog than virtualdub to demux your AVI (but I don't know which).

Use Virtualdubmod to extract the ac3 as a ac3. Audio-->demux. Use besliced to fix the ac3 after extraction. You will now have a ac3 ready to go onto a dvd. The problem I see is you are trying to make svcd's. You cannot use ac3 audio with svcds.
