Creating own Audio Commentary?

Hi I'm sorry if this topic has already been aswered one hundret times, however I searched everywhere but couldn't find a thing about it. If there was I'm sorry!
Nevertheless let's come to the main topic: I'm doing a research paper on Shakespeare Adaptations and I want to do an own commentary track to some scenes of the movies. I already ripped the scenes onto my computer hard disk with DVD Shrink. With which progamm can i creat an own commentary track and with which program should I than author the dvd that than on the final dvd there is the movie, the original sound and my audio commentray track. (It should be as an usual audiocommentary where you can hear the original track very low in the backgorund; however if this is not possible it's not a big deal).

Well you will need to record your own voice as a WAV file and sync it with the movie. You can edit your wav files with CoolEdit Pro or the like.

If you are doing it by scenes then it will work just fine. You can use chopperXP to select and cut the scenes you want.

But if you are doing the whole movie, then you will have to add blank audio before and after the portion where you need your commentary to come in.

Use a dvd authoring program, like dvdlab, tmpeg dvd author etc to mux the audio with your newly created audio in ac3 or wav.

Depending on where you live, you can also use mp2 for audio... if you just want to author a bare-bones disc, throw your audio and video plus your new (already synced) commentary tracks into ifoedit or rejig to author them. No menu, but chapter stops are possible.
