IfoEdit in DVD author mode works weird

I'm trying to remux video reencoded by CCE with original audio and subs. Since IfoEdit "Remux" functionality is not working with CCE, I thought of creating new DVD structure using Ifoedit authoring mode and then take only VOB with main movie and insert it in old DVD structure with IfoUpdate. But after creating new VOBs my movie in IfoEdit is 1:53 minutes long instead of 2:26 original and plays like in bad VCR - too slow-too fast, too slow, too fast. And subs (extracted by Vobedit) are not even listed in IFO file. I loaded CCE video and audio to TMPGEnc DVD author and it made perfect DVD files with exact timing. Unfortunately TMPG doesn't work with subs. Out of curiosity I demuxed audio and video from TMPG VOBs and used them to create DVD files in Ifoedit. Timing was right this time but again - no subs and video plays jerky. Did anybody use this Ifoedit feature with good results?

IfoEdit has a pretty good muxer I've ylways thought, but there again I don't do CCE and I know its wierd from threads about Scenarist and IfoUpdate etc.
Anyway - good to know that TM~encd Author () can cope. You could go that long way around and add your subs in Ifoedit at the end !?!

NTSC? The product of CCE will not have pulldown flags. And that means when computing the duration of the 23.976fps video at 29.97fps it comes out 20% shorter. 2:26 = 146 minutes, * 0.8 = 116.8, which is 1:56
When remuxing or authoring with IfoEdit you MUST have addressed framerate issues first. Apparently TMPG DVD author will add the needed flags.

I know that and before authoring in IfoEdit and TMPG I run pulldown with and without "drop frame" option. What other options should I check in Pulldown GUI? I also thought about it and checked my video after pulldown with bitrate viewer and few other tools and they all show 29.97. Besides TMPG doesn't accept 23.976 as valid framerate, it will refuse to import video file if framerate is not 29.97. Flags are there but apparently IfoEdit is looking for something else. Maybe I need to mark it as progressive. Any other ideas?

No more ideas, but I am looking into another muxing problem that has to do with GOP structure. This bug screws up the timestamps by 2 frames per GOP (about 13%) under very specific conditions.

I tested pulldown with few more options - same result. Then I checked last cell's frame number - and it was equal to a number of frames in film video! So Ifoedit knows it is 29.97 but it doesn't check pulldown flags at all. It just takes number of real frames and calculates video timing based on them. Then I thought - maybe it is CCE specific or pulldown doesn't set all required flags. I took short video clip and encoded it with TMPG (option - "29.97 - internally 23.976"). Result was the same! So it is not because of CCE or pulldown. It is Ifoedit! It cannot remux or author NTSC film materials which is bad, because Ifoedit is extremely helpful in many other aspects.

Well I encountered today a similar problem. Picture goes pretty normal for the first half and suddenly it beguns to fast forward. Can anyone recommend a similar tool instead of ifoedit, capable of handling ntsc videos?

No, I use DVDshrink for transcoding. But for lengthly movies I'd prefer to reencode with CCE and have partial menus - main and chapters. Ifoedit is pretty good (in combination with Menuedit - for buttons) in changing menus. If it could remux NTSC film ... I'd do all reauthoring with one tool!
