I have the following -

- .AVI file of 658.833 mb.
- Nero 5, version 5.5.5.1
- HP 8200 series CD writer.
- 700 mb blank cd.

I tried to write the .avi file on to the cd with Nero5 so that I could have a VCD which I could play on any VCD/DVD player. But I encountered the following problems -

-When I hit the burn button on Nero, I get a msg saying "Sorry, there is not enough disk space for the required Nero cache(needed 3751mb, available 1875mb). Please free some disk space or use another caching drive."

-The VCD is much longer than 80min(from the space indicator). If I change the caching drive to my D drive(please tell me how to do that!!), how do I get the movie to be partitioned into halves and fit perfectly into 2 CDs??

Many thanks!!

Hello yamraj17 and welcome to the forum!

This forum is for a program called DVD2SVCD. Not for Nero, sorry.
But dont worry, DVD2SVCD is a kind of program, that U need, and it is free. Download and install, reed the Faq and the sticky posts, and you will have your VCD easily. You can also find guides on the web for it here (http://www.doom9.org/).
If You have any problems, serach this forum before U ask.

Good luck

also, using D2S you won't have to be bothered with nero VCD creation
you'd get BIN/CUE files ready to burn without a hassle
