Hello there !

Whenever I watch a film (divX5) at my PC at home I get serious (big) blocks, especially at areas with a single color. This also happens with AVIs of the highest quality. At my computer at work everything is fine and looks smooth. The settings in ffdshow and the divX codec are the same at both computers (nothing set at ffdshow and default config for divX). I tried to improve the quality at home and get the result of my (btw far better) home-PC at work, but without success. The installed codecs are both from the latest Gordian Knot Codecpack - default installation.

I guess there must be a very basic problem, does anyone have a clue what it could be ?
Encoding with Gknot at home works perfect - the playback of these films looks very well at work but blocky and shitty at home !

Ok, yesterday I found an interesting point in the preferences of the DivX player. Disabling "Use accelerated post-processing for supporterd ATI RADEON hardware" and choosing the same level of playback quality improved the look of my films, even though it's not as good as on my work-computer. All other players continue to have the problem.

Did anyone have a similar experience ? What did you do ?
