hello every one
can anyone tell me which is the best way (soft, or just options....) to RE encode mpeg2 files or avi.
1st example : i got 1 avi file (divx5 compressed ) at about 825Mo and i want it to be around 700 Mo. Why didn't u get it 1st to 700 ? cause it wasn't my work, and i can't access to the original work !
2nd example : i recorded tv into mpeg2 file at about 950 Mo and i want it to be 700 (my cdrecorder don't accept 800 Mo cd!)

thx u for reading and helping me as big noob !
