Hey i just bought the above card and i've ran into some problems. Whenever it tries to do the initial hardware test it uses up 100% cpu and just hangs there, same happeneds if i skip the test. I was thinking maybe some filter was causing it so i uninstalled ffdshow and vobsub but still no luck.
Any ideas?

Hey,
Try updating the driver.

I've updated to the latest ones available on their website, didn't help :(

Mm, no idea then :(
Maybe change the PCI slot. This helps when my SkyStar2 gets into some problems.

Nope didn't work either. Guess i'll have to wait for their crappy support to get back to me.

And you've checked so that the avercard is the only thing using its designated IRQ number?

Yes. The system hangs cause the cpu goes up to 100%. My guess would be driver/software issue.
