OK, i read in another post that its better to go dif4u > cce/docce4u > reauthorist(for script only), this way id does'nt come out over sized.

Now dif4u gave me a avg. 3721. But if i open the calculator and get the avg. from that it says the avg. is 4137, this is the same as what RA give. Now it seems to be that the calc in dif4u under untilities does'nt acount for the subs on pal dvds, as the pal subs once ripped are not in sub format, just aload of bmp. Is this correct as i done everything in the calc right, but the calc gives the same avg as RA, which is a different avg. to dif4u gives in the ccedata.txt.

Im asking this , because if i have a load of subs that i keep, then after ripping with dif4u, then i strip out some trailers or extras, then i wanna re-calc the avg. its not gonna be right and could come out over sized

I can't comment on most of your post, except to sat that I'm in PAL land and vsrip.exe creates a .sub file (and idx) and then from that vsconv.exe creates the (large) full screen bmps (which compress back to the size of the .sub once compiled). So I don't see how it could be a PAL/NTSC.

OK, my bad. I was only looking at the subs in the subs folder, i did'nt see the to sub which is in the vts01 folder. But still why does dif4u's ccedata.txt file give me a avg. value of 3721, and the caculator give me a avg of 4137 ???.
Which of these avg. will give me a disc that aint oversized. As tha calc is giving the same values as ra.

Oh the sub file is 38mb, now i guessing thats all the sub tracks combined comes to 38mb as theres about 10 - 15 sub tracks and only one sub track.
