Chicago ripped to 672x352, original 2-pass 1720 kbps DivX 5.0.5,
129 kbps MP3 plays with occasional skips (no dropped frames) and loss of AV sync on dedicated movie player MSI KM2M/1 GHz Duron/256 MB/
Prolink 32 MB PCI/WIN Me, but plays OK on general workhouse Asus A7V/800 MHz Duron/256 MB/32 MB Asus V-7100 32 MB/WIN Me.
Both PCs play 13-Days 624x336, quant=2 (1-pass quality), 125 kbps MP3 or Hulk 672x360, 1311 kbps, 192 kkbps MP3 OK however.
No postprocessing used.
Wondering why the dedicated player with its more powerful CPU can't keep up.
