View Full Version : DVDShrink artifact? "pauses" added

I've noticed several recent movies (eg Good Thief) where occasional scenes (maybe 6 in the movie) are very briefly "paused" in the last frame - like something added maybe 2 more identical frames to the scene - or changed the last 3 or so frames to be all the same - so the last frame of some scenes is maybe 3 frames long - does not affect the sound sync.
Used DVDShrink probably 3.0Beta 5 or maybe earlier. Burn with CloneDVD 1171.
Any suggestions?

Did you re-author multiple titles, or the same title with multiple start/end settings. Each title, and each start/end, becomes a separate title on the burned disk, and players typically pause briefly when switching between titles.

I've done 100's of movies - movie only, no titles, nothing changed, ripped with DVD Decrypt, reauthored and shrunk with DVD Shrink. These "pauses" are in the middle of the movie - always at the end of a scene. VIDEO_TS always has only 2 IFOs, 2 BUPs and 5 VOBs.

Okay, so it's not titles then.
By any chance, does the original disk have these same pauses? I know it's a stupid question, but it needs to be asked.
Do you know if these disks (the original, not the backup) have seemless branching or multiple angles? I don't know if that would have anything to do with it, but again, it's worth asking.

I don't have the original DVD or access to it - it was borrowed.

I think this violates rule #6.
