xvid beta3 colors black&white movies

Encoding a black&white movie with xvid beta3 fairly often the output frame is partially colored with a slight purple or green color tone. xvid's greyscale option was enabled.

If there is already a thread about that, with the guilty options (i.e. asaptive quantisation) nailed down, why open yet another thread with the same issue?
