Source file is ~400MB MPEG2 video @1600Kb/s, MPEG2 audio 16bit/48k/2ch using VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 trying to use XviD codec Nic 160703 (fresh install of both).
I load the MPEG2 file in, set start and stop points, configure a simple resize filter (crop black edges and resize to 512x384), select XviD, and Save As...
When I try to compress this video at 2-Pass Int, I always get the error
Video compression error: An unknown error occurred (may be corrupt data). (error code -100)
I get this error within the first minute or so of encoding the first pass. I have run the "Scan the video stream for errors" option and it didn't find any problems.
I read in other posts where people get this error regarding the 2nd pass but I don't get that far. Some mentioned to verify the path to the stats file. I went into the advanced config of the XviD codec and the only place refering to the stat file was wanting to load one (\video.stat), not save one. I tried pointing this to an empty file and I would get the same error immediately when saving the avi. Am I supposed to set the path somewhere else?
I've already demux'd the audio and converted it to mp3. I plan on rejoining it afterwards. I've disabled the MPEG2 audio track within VDM.
I have over 4GB of available drive space so it isn't running out.
I thought it might be a problem with the MPEG2 file so I converted it to raw uncompressed RGB and it got the same error.
It works fine with other codecs (DivX3) and XviD settings (1 pass)
I haven't had any major problems I couldn't figure out from this wonderful board (only 4 posts in 1.5 years) but this one has got me stumped.
Any suggestions?
