I'm trying to install the Photoshop trial on my computer, but it absolutly won't let me. The same thing happened when I tried to install SubStation Alpha. They all have the same Setup picture, too, if it's worth mentioning (that computer with a box and a disc by it).

I click on it, and I get the hour glass by the arrow for a few seconds, and then nothing happens and the computer acts like I never tried. No matter how many times I try to do this, I get nothing.

What's the problem with this?

Oh, I should mention that this happens only with stuff that uses the InstallShield Wizard.

Is there another way to install it?

Try installing the latest Service Pack of your Windows version. I think InstallShield is part of Windows components, so it might solve your problem.

Actually, it's the Windows Installer. InstallShield is provided by a third party (ISV).

Sometimes it happens that an ill-cancelled install leaves some locked files on the temp folder. Try rebooting and running ScanDisk. Then clean your temp folders.

Hope this helps.

BTW, this is General Discussion indeed, but what does this thread have to do with DVD conversion?
