I am a long time D2S user. I just bought a DVD burner recently and would like to burn DVD instead of SVCD from now on.

I noticed that D2S can output to DVD too. And there are also a bunch of other softwares, such as DVDshrink, DVD2one, etc, that claims to work.

So what is the best way to back up a dvd movie on a 4.7gb disk? Speed wise, quality wise, and compatability wise, is there any difference?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Rule #12:
Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!

Anyway, I understand you are asking about the differences, OK? :)

Well, you can find the answer by yourself doing some reading in this forum, but I recommend you to first read the Idiots's guide by r6d2. It's really good.
