hello i am backing up stargate season 4, dvd 9> dvd 5.
Just recompressed the menus, And when i get in to doitfast4u, there are 8 PGC's in VTS_01, they are all 42-mins long, the disc only has four episodes, And no extra features last this long.
What i am going to do is untick the duplacated PGC's, is this the right thing to do?
cheers

You have some kind of play all vts at hand. Dif4u will uncheck duplicate ifos for you. From there on follow the guides (like the nemo guide)

thanks, i took a look at the guide and it seems easy enough to follow.
will i need to change anything in numenu4u? i use to rencode the menus 1st then go in to doitfast4u

no there's a setting in dif4u somewhere. Set it to not reencode menus since it already did. Also there's an option to not copy over menufiles

okay that nemo guide was a little bit hard to understand :-/ Proberly down to my lack of knowledge of the subject.
Anything easier? Any other way to over come this problem?

Well honestly I don't know if there are easier guides, search doom9 for that.
Basically you uncheck the duplicate pgcs, let RA create your script and then in scenarist copy and paste the correct pgcs over the dummies made by RA (replace the dummies with the real ones)

okay well i made a dvd, it works fine, apart from the play all button, so is there any way i can fix it by messing with the ifo's?
Edit: or even making the play all button un selectable/removing it will do...

the reason why the 'play all' button doesnt work, as influenza already explained, is that you didnt recreate the correct structure in scenarist.
the other option, also explained, is to use ifoupdate in 'adjusted cell mode' but for this to work, you have to organise the vobid/cells in a manner which conforms with how Eyes`Only explained in the guide.
Edit: or even making the play all button un selectable/removing it will do... you can use Menuedit (may not be possible with trial version) to do this
