movie plays like slightshow...

Hi!

I'm trying to play a *.xvid-movie with two different audio streams. While there is no problem choosing the audio file, the movie doesn't run smoothly at all. It moves like a slightshow, regardless which player I choose. Any other movie plays fine.

Any suggestions?

I'm no expert, but a few things you could do is

check the cpu usage while playback. if its up to 100% you might need a new processor

get the latest xvid version

open the movie in vdubmod and go through some frames one by one and see whether the movements are smooth or not(to check if the viedo stream itself is ok)

CPU is not the problem, is fast enough with 2 GHz, all other video files are no prob. My xvid-version is "XviD Video Codec 04102002-1 (Koepi's build with EPSZ ME)", which one is the latest?
VDubMod plays the movie fine.

Any other ideas?

Alright, just needed the latest Xvid Codec, now everything works fine...
